Features of the all new 2016 Honda HSS1332ATD 2 stage snowblower. This is the United States model. Stop back for a live action video once it gets used in the first snow! Honda gave their 2016 snowblower's a design change upgrade for the 2016 model year. The US model and Canadian model on the Honda Canadian website for the first time seem to both be identical now and have the same features. *Fingertip steering: easy control from handle bar levers even with the engine off; now with fingertip steering, just squeeze the left handlebar lever while in forward or reverse to turn machine to the left and squeeze the right lever to turn the machine to the right or squeeze both at the same time to lock out the transmission into neutral to briefly stop the machine's movement. Or squeeze both levers at the same time to move the machine around the garage in neutral or steer the machine in neutral with the engine off. *New Electric Joystick Chute Control: Easy to adjust snow distance and direction. *New High Powered LED Headlight will not burn out. *New Auger Height Control: Variable auger heights controlled from a thumb lever for unbeatable clearing ability by a pneumatic gas strut. Honda's addition of new pneumatic gas strut to the auger height control system gives the user smooth and accurate auger housing adjustment perfect for gravel or stone driveways or doing on grass or scraping pavement clean. *Hydrostatic drive: Pick the right speed for you, with an easy single lever control. *32" clearing width, 21.7" clearing height *Electric Start - No plug in required (HSS1332ATD only) *Track drive offers the best traction and control available *Powerful, easy to start Honda GX engine and is quieter for this year. *New LED Hour Meter with Auger Lock Indicator Light (HS1332ATD only) -Stop back for a live action video once it gets used in the first snow!

Random question, but do you know what size gauge wire goes from your battery to your starter?

A starter on a true Honda engine is like an appendix on a human

So this beast did me good. We got a 1' or close to it by the time I went out there. This thing spins around like a ballerina whereas my old Craftsman I had to pickup and hustle it to turn it. Also my hands don't cramp up anymore on the throttle and auger hold-downs. I can see the difference in power and shooting distance. I got it to bog down a few times though. The snow was very compacted. However I think my craftsman would've actually shut off instead of bogging down. This one never shut off on me. I pushed her hard. And with the track system I got it up on my front pathway. But to get it there there are 2 steps of cement. I had to shovel some of the mound of snow but I got it on there with the track system. No way I would've done that with the old Craftsman. I'm happy overall. Only thing is the gas cap loosened up on me twice. I guess from vibration?

At last, I get to try this beast tomorrow. They're saying about a 1' on Long Island.

I'm not a fan of electric start, just another expensive battery to deal with. Or The electronic chute control which on other blowers I've had has been nothing but a problem. I also wonder how well the gas charged strut will work at 20 below zero?. It's probably a good machine but I like the simplicity of the old model.

Super nice,I have a 2011 10/33, but why would you start it at high idle, this is not a razor? Notheless nice video.
-
How do you keep the battery from going bad in the off season months when you don't use it. Does it have a plug to trickle charge the battery?
-
How does it perform on wet snow? Do i need to add the impeller rubber extensions?
-
I have this machine and its awesome. I actually had to use that stick you say is there because of competition. I plugged the shoot on the end of the driveway were the snow plow was laying down that nice super heavy slush. A couple of pokes and off to the races.

cost?

Made in the USA all but for the motor which is the heart of the machine.

Can you mount a seat and ride it out to your tree stand? If you install a rack where the clean out pole is it can carry your deer out of the woods.
I have always purchased Honda vehicles and equipment and they never let me down. This is truly a dream machine and then some. Wow! You are a blessed man. -
Great snowblower. Practically everything we own is a Honda, lol. Just purchased an HS928 Honda snowblower--ours doesn't have the electric start or electric chute control, but it's still a beast. The Troy Bilt that we traded in was a pile of junk, which is why we traded.

Honda or Yamaha is the only snowblowers worth its weight. All the rest do not measure up and is the usual crap that most places try and sell you. All the infinite height adjustment is already on the Yamaha. I have a Yamaha that i have just rebuilt and after 10 years old, all it needed was spark plug, fluids, cable grease, adjustment and paint touch up. The Honda and Yamaha are built very close in design, attention to detail, quality and price. Only reason why I went for the yamaha was that the local Honda dealer was very poor in dealing with customers so i bought elsewhere.
