While driving along after another house-viewing, the phone rang. Pulled off the road and handed it to my wife and jumped out to photograph this wonderful collection of tractors. What immaculate timing! New and old and nearly dead. Fords and Fergies and a Fergie copy, and that Steyr - what a project for someone! Dealer was J.Davies of New Inn, Ceredigion, Wales. He also has the biggest collection of large Kubotas that I have ever seen.

You are dead right. It's a 577 (it says) and they were seemingly made with MFs second-hand assembly kit. Alan

i think Alan that Fergie copy is an IMT.

Thanks Bob. You're a gent! I'll try and make it there by 3.00 and see what happens. (If I'm free - you never can tell with Sunday!!) Alan

They run daily but early in the morning returning from Trostre at 09.10, on a Sunday it varies but there is usually an afternoon arrival at 15.30 and departure at 16.25 from Trostre...Bob

Yes, Margam is East of Swansea, I think. Trostre seems to be the first station East of Llanelli, so about when does this steel train run? (Sorry, I must be a terrible nuisance, but I have a lot to learn) Alan

They run to and from Margam via the Swansea District Line,,,Bob

Thanks Bob. I must look up Trostre on Google. I presume the flow is Eastward? Alan

Sunday afternoon you may see a coil train arrive and depart from Trostre as well as some HST's and 175's etc...Bob

Thanks Bob. I enjoyed doing it, but in a hurry, in case I got stopped! BTW - got out my OS map of Llanelli this morning from where it was stored and all is clear re. Pantyffynon. One question remains - is it worth going to Llandeilo Junction? Alan
