Twenty local tractor enthusiasts brought machines of all makes and models to a farm west of Elburn on a bright sunny day in September to plow some wheat stubble. Participants checked out the other tractors, talked shop and showed that these antiques can still get some work done.

Second to the last tractor- Model G unstyled. General Purpose was the row-crop designation. GP was a totally different earlier model.

And people wonder why so many kids were killed injured on family farm !!!! Kids SHOULD NOT be riding on tractors !!!! Very dangerous !!!

What wonderful soil to plow in, things are a lot harder in some of the clay I remember, plowing with a John Deere Model D.

Wow! What a treat- our tractor is a 1930 Farmall F-20.
That great old iron did and does good work with no frills. -
oh ok I guess that would make sense I always wondered why the older tracter were like that^^

The purpose was for row-cropping. the two skinny wheels were close together so that they ran in the same track.

why do some of those tractors have the front wheels close together like a tricycle?
