+Joshua Stroh this is a good topic for discussion. Since John Deere introduced the 8Rs in 2009 I have never heard a John Deere company representative, John Deere dealer or a farmer say 9 620R or 8 245R ect... Every place I have been they say 9620R or 8245R or just 9620 etc.... I know John Deere did a press release in 2009 talking about annunciation on the R series. I will talk to John Deere at the National Farm Machinery Show. I would think people would say 9 620R instead of 9620R if the 9 was larger than the other numbers on the decal or of they were separated like the way New Holland does for the T9.700 or T8.435. Good topic to explore.

I feel bad for the plow!
It wouldn't last long in our heavy clay soils. -
Huge tractor for a huge field. Around here we wouldn't dream of heavy tillage after heavy winter moisture.

Why the guy took off the standard rear split rollers from Turbo-chisel?

Don't worry about the KPH, - I am still in MPH. My ex's grandfather had several 1947/8 Fordson E27N's. powered by Perkins Diesels, one of which had a massive 'Boughton' winch on the back for tree felling, you were lucky if you could get 15MPH out of them, - and that's with the wind behind you downhill. He thought nothing of pulling the 'ring roll' or even the 'disc harrow' along the road without lifting them, - mind you I think both had 'straight hitches' in those days, needless to say the noise was deafening so you did not want to go very fast. Apart from the Tractors, a Combine, and a trailer, - converted from a pre war car, everything was steel wheeled from what I remember, - collectors would kill for some of the machinery he had nowadays, - even used some 'converted' horse-drawn wagons that had 'draw-bars' fitted.

John Deere started putting letters in their tractor models in 2008.THe 8970 was powered by a Cummins 855.The WA-14/WA-17 had Cummins diesels.JD Spfh has had Cummins diesels since I think about 1993.THe 9570R has this same Cummins 912 cid diesel to

Is the tractor powered by John Deere engine or Cummins engine ?
-
That is a humongous john deere tractor. BigTractorPower are you going to be at the st. louis toy show this weekend
-
Thanks for that. I'm just amazed to see this tractor out in the field in January. (I'm from Canada). Also amazed by the productivity of agriculture there in Western Kentucky.

Great to see you videoing the start this year, I certainly look forward to all your videos. A couple of things puzzle me why was he leaving some gaps in the rows as he went down them, I heard you explain one but I still don't see the reason, and secondly are tractors not required to be registered for running on the road in your Country.?

It was awesome to see this big green machine working in the field...I did want to know, does bother hardcore John Deere guys when they have to use other mfg. implements (disks, chisel plows, etc.) vs deere stuff or is it just about what gets the job done?
-
I was wondering what device you use to record with? Thanks. Love the videos!
-
No more monotone, love the new mic sound!

Great videos and information, I can't believe you said this is spring tillage in January?
