I've got a 04 277 cat and love it. I live in a sandy area North of twin cities and is always in sand and gravel. it's got 8000 hrs with one replacement engine and 3 sets of tracks. it gets abused alot. I even pick up small car bodies and move them around. it's a brute. it gets good maintenance and run hard. I not going to complain. I even grew up using 642, 753, 763, and s180 bobcats and we're all great machines but when it comes to tracked loaders I'll lean towards cat. I've ran just about every make out there and they all have their place. I got to use a Kubota once I kinda liked it, probably because it was way newer than my cat. Also my neighbor has a bobcat A300, that machine is awesome.

My dad bought his bobcat used 16 years ago and we beat the shit out of it everyday and no problems today this day
-
I have never had a Bobcat light pop out. Here in south Florida we have coral rock, no sand. That eats rubber tracks for breakfast lunch and dinner.
-
As I near retirement I've been thinking about buying a skid steer and doing the equipment operator thing. If any of you have opinions on the Kubotas SSV's, I'd love to hear them!
-
Never once have we had a light pop out on our T650 without the clear plastic over them. Only problem it's ever had is a leaking bob-tach cylinder that was fixed under warranty same day we brought it in.
-
the tracks on the cat skid steer loader are the weak point and will cost you 10.00 per hr in maintenance costs
-
both great looking capable machines.
-
those covers on the lights and the Velcro canvas over lift arm access, is for a forestry kit.
-
the lights come out on the bobcat for a reason say you backed into a tree and hit a big branch on the lights if the lights didnt pop out they would break their for need to buy new lights. although its annoying its for a reason
-
We actually had our bobcat lights pop out and melt!!
-
Glad u said u cant see out of it .....any were ... u said nothing about the front door that only opens 3/4 of the way .. not well layed out at all

Oh man, I miss being an Operator and running a 299D skidsteer. I put over 1000 hours on that skidsteer. Unfortunately, with it being the newest model on the market, it had a lot of technical difficulties (more so electrical, such as false alarms showing up often on the screen). The D has to be my favorite model, with C being the absolute WORSE model I've ever ran. And I've ran both rubber tire and track loaders.
I've never ran a Bobcat skidsteer before, but I have ran a Takeuchi skidsteer before, and that wasn't a half-bad machine. I never had the chance to branch out to different brands, mostly because the two construction companies I worked for, only bought CAT machines (which I wasn't arguing in the least). -
bobcats any day
-
Wondering if you have ever cut the exposed hyd. drive hoses when cleaning the undercarriage on the Cat machine? I like the Deere design better every bit as open as Cat but Deere shields the drive hoses.
-
Both machine are ragged out at 3k hours ... machines are asked for 100% for their whole life .... New broom sweeps well ... uncaring pig operators eat a machine in no time .....
-
The new bobcats have the big open undercarriage like the cats and they are really easy to clean out
-
the Bobcat show in the video with the plate going over the exhausted over the lights and cover the Hydraulics is called a forestry machine it so she doesn't catch on fire
-
john deere 70 skid loader is the best ever made lol
-
