Here at Bostonpowercat we would like to unveil our latest project we have been working hard on, this project really has been a true labour of love taking place over the last several years, but with the stickers finally on, it is great to be able to share with you our restoration of a Caterpillar DD9G (Quad Trac). What is truly exciting about this project is not just the DD9G's size (although that is pretty impressive!) it is it's rarity, this is the only Caterpillar Quad Trac in the world out side of the United States of America and then there are only three or four working machines at most left inside the States. The Caterpillar DD9/Quad Trac was originally born out of customers demands for a bigger bulldozer than the Cat D9, then already the largest dozer in the world, the massive Caterpillar 666 motor scraper with nearly 1000HP of its own under the hood needed something of the Quad Trac's size and power to be able to load it efficiently. The 666 was the largest motor scraper ever produced by Caterpillar and at the time the Quad Trac was the largest bulldozer in the world, they certainly made a formidable combination, it is therefore amazing to see this combination once again back together. Bostonpowercat.com is proud to bring you the only place in the world where you will be able to see this humongous 1700HP+ combination. Its been a long and tiring road on the journey of the Cat Quad Trac, so for that reason we are keeping this post and video a short one, more posts and videos covering the project to follow so check back regularly...

What a tease! I want to see and hear it running!

i was wondering why you bought a g with no blade
i see it has become part of this monster
is it a true double d, where there is only one operator at the front and the back has air controls? -
My HEART ALMOST STOPPED! I was thinking of a double 9 but not enough to even get serious about it, I have seen videos of one and thought how WILD it would be to be pushing a bunch of scrapers that had operators that wanted to get on with it and knew how to work a cut. Talk about a FUN time!!! Good old #2 notch and let it EAT! No ear plugs for THAT ride. I'd want to hear that sterio snorting and not miss one. I can see Pops on that, under an umbrella and whiskers flying and a grin from ear to ear. Now for a pan for the 830! Then a big job to do and a ticket across the water for me! A-PLUS Lads! I can't quit grinning!!!
