Up close look at the Dearborn, Universal Model, Snowplow I just picked up for the 4110 tractor. My Blade is actually the model 19-2 Straight DOZER BLADE and has NO SPRINGS... The 19-3 Model was the Curved Snowplow Blade with Springs ... I will be adding Springs to mine some how. If anyone needs a PDF Manual for this Plow just contact me through You Tube with your email address and I will send you one for FREE , Don't go Buy one.

Ya done went and done good again Dan, but I'm thinking that raising the three point arms causes the rocker arm on the rear of the snow plow frame to raise. In turn that rocker arm pulls the cables through the pullys to lift the blade and the cables should attach securely to a pair of brackets on the front of the tractor. I've seen these at tractor shows, but have never connected one myself.
The pto on your 4000 really shouldn't have anything to do with the raising and lowering.... These Dearborn snow plows were made back in the 9n, 2n and 8n Ford days and the ptos on those series of tractors had to be running in order for the three point to raise. Your 4000's three point raises independently of the pto, so it should not have to be engaged.
Good luck sir, and keep us posted. You only have a short time until it snows up there !!
