Jeremy and James head to New Zealand to take part in a race from the Coromandel Peninsula to the northern tip of the North Island. James had to cover 220 miles (350 km) in the America's Cup yacht Oracle, whilst Jeremy had a much longer 410 miles (660 km). The Oracle's crew was made up of James, Olympic gold medallist Sir Ben Ainslie and several America's Cup winners. Jeremy's Auris is a rental, thus "the fastest car in the world", and he has little regard for its safety... Taken from Episode 1, Series 20. Heavily edited bullshit like everything on this boring English, has been show.
He was still travelling on the main highway at the south side of the Brynderwyn Hills by Maungaturoto. Then he does his so called "off road short cut" after that. The fastest and shortest way to go through Northland to the top, is straight up the middle on the main state highway which he was already on. What a joke, total bullshit to "amuse" the naive English viewers. If he was to go off road, he would actually lose time. Then there's the part where he goes up 90 mile beach. At the time of filming, there was bad weather for three days. No good for the helicopter shots and also the tide was extra big on the beach. They had to wait until they got a nice day and a very low tide to film that part. It shows a good, exciting race like it's all happening then and there. But it was so heavily edited and completely false like all of Top Gear's shows. Total crap, no wonder they failed. -
the worlds fastest car is worlds slowest car ha ha ha
