Recovering the Massey 185 from Shauns dam. This is where your machinery will end up if you dont put the break on and leave it in gear. Good job Shaun, great recovery.

At our farm we had a MF 185 build in 1972, we sold it in 1994 after we closed the farm, we knwo the tractor is still running well at another farm. Mf 100 series were very good tractors.

@ferguson7490 Well basicly you have no chance of getting it to run at all, you have to drain & replace all the oils, (engine, transmission, differentials and hydraulic) drain the fuel tank, then flush all the fuel lines, remove as much water from the fuel tank as possible, replace all the oil, fuel and air filters, most likely you will have to replace most of the electrics (but the 185 has hardly any) and get it running as quickly and frequently as possible. WATER and DIRT are an engines enemy.

use the force Luke!!

Well i do have to say that the 185 is a good tractor, i am happy to report that it is running again, it just got a good wash thats all.

If your favorite brand of tractor is a Massey Ferguson, you won't find this funny at all... :(
