Ford Tractor Company farm tractor advertising infomercial. Shows the timesaving benefits of the Ford "Model B" tractors working on the farm and includes scenes showing the manufacture of this early prototype tractor. The Ford Tractor Company was not related to the Ford Motor Company but used the Ford name to piggyback on the fame & reputation of the other company. Henry Ford was forced to use the name Fordson (derived from "Ford and Son") for his tractor division. Amazing- this actually pre-dates the assembly line! They're doing it the old way-building one tractor at a time.

More like a living room than a tractor. -
It may seem silly by todays standard, but this machine was an incredible leap in efficiency ,and made life better for every one. I still have some of the old pieces of farm equipment lying around my place .

In the 50' and 60' ,as a country boy in Brittany ,we had greatest admiration for John Deere tractors ,those fine green grasshopers able to turn round without moving their rear wheels ,a great show every time..

that is the tractor that began the efforts of the Nebraska Tractor Tests not a Ford Motor Co machine but a rather pathetic attempt to rip off the Ford name. There is a surviving copy of this tractor at the Tractor Test Museum that serves as the example used to explain the mission of the Nebraska Tractor Tests.
Thanks for posting this great piece of historical footage -
I have two old Fordsons A 1938 N demonstrator one of three in north America .The other one is a 1942 RCAF Fordson N Bomb hauler It pulled 15 trolleys of bombs to the bombers in the UK in WW2 .This one will go over 30 miles an hour to get off the airport when the German fighters were coming . the german side of my family sure knew what they were doing ,, they had lots of hanky panky to produce lots of cheap slave labor ,, why do certain parents lie and say they are training the children ,, in reality they are just getting low to free labor workers , promises promises promises ,, and in the end its still a fight to claim all the hard work and sweat put into a future promise
