Art Nordstrom is inducted into the Husets Hall of Fame on 6-18-2010. He was a long time supporter and developed the Street Stock Class in the Midwest. he built the First Car for the Class and supported the race. He was the technical advisor and official for this class for many years. He also promoted the sport and developed a Special Race that involved a pit stop and drivers had to qualify all year for the special race for up to $10,000 dollars of which Mr. Nordstrom donated all the money from Nordstrom's Auto Recyclers of Garretson, SD. in 1969 Art Nordstrom built his Hot rod ford Tractor in the garage on the dairy farm. He put a Boss 302 Ford Motor into that small space in a 9N Ford. He used it at Husets to push the sprint cars or Modifided class at that time. It was rebuilt 2 times and boasts and proves to go over 100 mph in the short and quick, quick, quick. It has almost 500hp. Original Bell Housing with special built racing parts. It's the Nordstroms Special and a Special part of the Nordstrom Racing History. We went to the races all over South Dakota All my life Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
