Im trying to find a preowned belly mower for my BX2360.

with almost 1600 hours on my BX it takes about 3 minutes to take the deck off but about 5 or more minutes to put it back on, I have never liked the way Kubota designed the way the caller is on the shaft for the deck, mine has never stayed back on its own so you have to hold it back while you try to align the splines, has been this way since new. going today to sign the papers for a new BX 2370 60 inch deck and front bucket, if I could afford it I would get the drive over deck. I will say even though the deck on my old BX was always a pain to take on and off it was and still is a very good tractor, just time for a new one.

Thanks...I hadn't taken time to investigate/read about how to do this. I have same model. But ..how does PTO linkage come off? Is there a pin, also?

It is NOT that easy after you have used the deck a while. The PTO shaft is EXTREMELY difficult to get off and on. However, I have found that liquid wrench is my friend.

We have a bx1500 and the deck is easy to remove/replace after you do it a few times. I take it off to grease and to sharpen the blades.

Yes taken the deck off is pretty quick as long as you're on concrete. Virtually impossible on grass. Deere have us beat there. (Yes i have a BX25D and i do like it.) Some other things tho. I have a back scrapper blade, Box blade, backhoe, tiller, rear roller, and snow blade. the 3 pt hitch is kind of a pain at first but once your use to it and know where it can pinch the crap out of your hand your okay. backhoe is fairly simple and easy. however lining up the two bottom arms to the implements is a super pain you have to keep them spread apart as you're backing up so a second person is handy. the 2 biggest complaints i have is the seat, having to spin it around and around and around and around when using the backhoe. i really dont see a solution since the tractor is small. the second is putting on the snow blade on the front. OMG what a pain. having to take the four huge bolts off that hold the grill guard. then mounting the lift, then mounting the blade. the hose are not color coded so its a guessing game until you finally get tired and color code them yourself. i guess a third thing is the stabilizers or outriggers as some people call them. the design of the shoe is terrible. it digs big holes in the ground every time you use them. with all that said. i would buy one again. even tho its a pain to work some times, once its set up the tractor gives you no problems and it does a WHOLE lot of work.

Thanks for the video..definitely helped knowing what to remove...it did take me considerably longer to do this on a gravel driveway with a used tractor from which the deck had not been detached for (don't know how long)....the pins all came out after using penetrating oil, but the pto detachment took me 15 minutes or so, and 2 of the wheels would not turn after I removed the pins and tried to rotate them, and the deck kept hitting different things under the tractor as I slowly got it to come out from under. The whole thing probably took more like 30 to 45 minutes. After brush hogging and tilling, I'm not looking forward to putting the deck back on...maybe I'll cut a piece of plywood to slide it on.

Why don't you turn the 4 deck guide wheels so that it is more easy to slide out the mower deck? Pretty easy to slide out on a smooth concrete floor. And yes it does take a whole lot longer to re-attach.

Thank you for the video, it helped quite a bit when I went to take the deck off for the winter.

Thank you for the video, I was able to remove the deck pretty fast after watching it. I am doing the 50 hour maintenance and the tractor was delivered with the deck installed so this is the first time I removed it. I see one poster had difficulties putting the deck back on, I won't get to that until tomorrow sometime but am hoping it goes smoothly.

Rich,
Is your tractor new, paint may be binding the linkage not allowing it to come down with out weight on it. Is the deck height in the top position, that would keep the linage locked up. Yes, the PTO is supposed to slide on and you will hear it click when it latches. I never turn the PTO shaft on the mower deck after it is removed so it will slide right on. If the PTO shaft gets turned you to get it back in alignment for it to go back on. -
how well do you like the tractor? I see everybody selling their small john deere tractors.

lets see you put it on that fast.
