how long have you had your mower? I got mine 3-2012

I hate it to cause you will spin and get stuck very easy. My deck is coming apart, I called about the warranty on the deck and they told me that the warranty is limited. if they determine it is the operator fault they will not fix but if it is manufactory then they will replace it. You have to take it to a shop and it has to be a shop that represents Husqvarna and that costs about $60.00 to $75.00 a hour if it is your fault then you pay but if they think it is the manufacturer they will pay for everything. So good luck on this warranty........

Is this a commercial mower?

Didn't read all of the replies so sorry if I'm repeating some info. I'm 61 yrs old and have been cutting grass since 1960. My hobby is also Z mowers...I have a fully commercial mower that I mow my 8 acres with.
If you'll let the air pressure down to 8-9 psi you'll be very surprised at how much better the ride is and you will also notice better traction. Tire PSI is so fundamental I'm surprised when everyone who use mowers don't know not to use the Max psi stated on tires. As it says, it's the Max psi....not the pressure you need on a lwanmower of this weight.
Enjoy the mower! It's always nice to get a new toy....uh....I mean "tool". :-) -
thanks great info please do more reviews now that you have used it more thanks again

Really enjoy the review, very helpful. Having to replace our 14 yr old Craftsman 42" rider and want to get the zero turn. The biggest compaint on the craftsman was the deck. Mower engine lasted 14 years; mowed with holes in the deck for the last 6 years. And I pick up limbs, ect. before cutting my acre plus. Really like the idea of 10 year warranty on deck and the ease of air filter replacement, and oil change (even though the cap was diffucult the first time). and we will check the zerk fittings before 1st use.:) I think we are going to stay with 42" cut and the video gave me lots of reasonable questions to ask about the mower on our search. Thanks again!

Thanks for your review. I have the same mower, but its a Craftman brand built by Husqvarna for Sears. the only difference is I have a 24hp Briggs and Stratton. I have a lawn service, and it has been running really good and is a real time saver.

I have a 2000 Troy Bilt 50 inch Mustang TZR Mower. The Deck Housing rusted where the Spindle Assembly are mounted.
Basically, out of commission will cost an arm and a leg to fix.
I may buy me another ZTR mower.
But really need some advice.
I mow eight (8) acres. Limited trees but very rough terrain. Not so much as gravel or rocks but had 18 wheelers drive through these fields many moons ago and they left wheel tracks, dips, trenches, canals, etc. Lol. Very violent ride. Also there are some areas which have steep hills.
Any suggestions on which brand(s) could handle the following:
I'm not worried about speed as the terrain really doesn't allow me to go top speed. But reliability and durability are top of the list. Preferably a larger gas tank (at least 4 gallon). And wider mowing deck... Minimum 54inch. Finally, comfort for a big man.
Please share.
Thanks,

I just bought one off of Craigslist. Don't laugh. It came with 1.9 hours on it. It seems that the purchaser purchased this mower, then lost his job later in the week. Bad for him-good for me. I paid 2500.00 for essentially a new mower. The only flaw I've notice is the zerk fittings on the front wheels. They leak grease where they were apparently welded the the wheel.
The original owner did not fill out the warranty card so I am going to give that a shot.
Your review was the reason I pulled the trigger on this purchase. Very helpful and informative.
I spent about an hour with my tools going over all of the nuts and bolts.
I mow 4.5 acres and have cut significant time over my previous mower. (Ford 1520 compact diesel with a 60 inch deck). My first ZT but am very pleased so far.
My only real complaint is the handles do not secure in the neutral position if you stop.
Is there a way to tighten this up a bit....?
Thanks for the detailed video. -
Thanks for the detailed video. I'm going to pick up one of these tomorrow! I will also be going from a 42 inch to 54 inch cut.

Can you do a video on how to change the air filter on that Kohler 7000 series engine. There's no video on you tube on this
-
Thank you for sharing. Just bought one and cut for 1.5 hours till 11:15 PM. This mower is fast and the HPower is a big plus. Looking forward to keep my 4 -5 acres in control from now on.
Thanks again for sharing! -
Great review.. thanks...

I think your deck baffles are mounted wrong. What you call reinforcement is suppose to be bolted on the bottom edge of deck and not the top edge. Mine is that way.You can see this in parts manual. The R in model number is for residential or homeowner. Not for commercial mowing business. For those people thinking your review was aimed at the best machine ever.
