Help ! I have a Husqvarna 48" rider (model #YTH2348). Took it out of garage today (have been using it for weeks since weather warmed in MN). Used it for about 10 minutes, then turned it off for about a half hour while I loaded a small cart with yard waste. I went to start the mower. It would not start. I tried multiple times. When my battery has gone dead in the past, I would just get a click when I turned the ignition key. Today no click. Instead it made a harsh sound , rrr--rrr-rrr, but not like my truck does when it's cold. This sound was really harsh. Although in the past, when I run out of gas with the mower, it just sputters, then stops, I did try adding gas today, but no go. I hooked up a battery charger, and even though the charger said the battery was charged, I left it on. Still no go. I need suggestions as to what the problem might be. Taking it to a repair place means I wont have a mower for 2+ weeks. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks. Marci

i use that kind but a bit newer. while riding it the throttle on it was jammed on high, and it crashed. the reason... the welds after a while of use came off, causing it to literally fall apart while driving.

the engine on mine was flooded

engine runs ok and after a wile oil starts mixing with the gas and i guess it floods out

Ops. When I am replacing the starter motor on my Husquvarna ride on mower do I take off the small plastic cap on the top of the starter motor or I I leave it on. Might seem a bit basic but this is the second replacement and they are so expensive I don't want to take a chance and break it.

Really how could you leave the key in the on position after mowing? Are you going to leave the engine running after mowing. You have no choice but, to turn it off when your done mowing.
