Love this video!
-
Light the fires Probably not a good idea to kick the tires, though.
-
Hell of a ritual of getting it up to steam.
-
Would have loved a commentary on what each valve was for and why they check or change each bit. Loved the sound of the dynamo spinning up. Good video anyway.
-
Way too much trouble! Just buy a nice modern diesel electric, press a few buttons and you're good to go.
-
Easy to see why diesels took over so quickly, very skilled and slow to raise full head of steam, but still wonderful.
-
wow that is a lot to just get it going .
-
Thank you for this video I have always loved the steam locomotives as a kid and I still do. just an amazing machine
-
Well that was stupid... While that thing was being towed in the beginning of the video, they should have just kept towing it all the way to the scrap yard where it could be cut up and sold for scrap.... Those engines went out with the cowboys and indians days......

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏

And to think with a Diesel engine all one has to do is push a start button.
-
C'mon guys, tell me honestly -- how long does this REALLY take?
-
Incredible.
-
Does anyone knows what kind of gauge is the one at 7:27?
-
Wow it seems like it takes more steps to start this classic than a jumbo jet Lol.
-
This is ridiculous...you can see straight away that its a DIESEL loco not a steam one... Do you think were stupid or something?
-
anybody know what the teapot looking things are for at 4:00 or is it simply a teapot :)
-
The detail of the steps is great, but please consider adding text labels throughout the video to help teach everyone what is going on.
-
1:23 kick his ass, and lock him in. LOL
