The plow is a John Deere walking plow modified with linkage to raise and lower the plow. My dad purchased this tractor in 1941 for $15.00 "My older brother is running the tractor" (This homemade tractor was used to plow Gardens during the depression and victory gardens during WW2.

I hate to bring it up, BUT The Victory gardens were done during WW 2, NOT during the Depression

That is sooo AWESOME! I love seeing these old doodlebugs being used and kept the exact way they would've been when they were built. I love seeing how farmers used their backwoods engineering (for lack of better term) to make things work and get things done. Thanks for the video! I hope to see it living on for years to come!

The individual ingenuity the old timers had to put something like that together and make it function during the Depression era when many people had absolutely nothing is amazing. A far cry from the majority of people today with little or no ingenuity to make it other than looking to the government to take care of them. Thanks for posting this vid.
