A John Deere 6400 tractor and a John Deere 348 Square Baler complete the mechanized portion of Rolling Oaks's first hay cutting of the year. Marcia Johnson guides the baling parade around the pasture. She also had the task of adjusting the baler after the season's first few bales "exploded" after being kicked. Some photos: http://basicbill.com/post/53771174595/rollingoaksbaling And a short video of the baler kicking while in the turn at the end of the field is here: http://basicbill.com/post/53771196674/curvekick A big thank you to the folks at Rolling Oaks Farm for the invitation and access to the operation.

Amazing all the interesting ways to bale hay since I did it as a kid. This is so easy. I'm wondering who gets to straighten out the pile in the wagon?

I bet that girl driving is beautifully hot

Where were these when I was a kid, you were hot tired and nasty after a day of chasing the trailer and stacking bales.

Hi nice video and how many acres did you cut and how many bales did you end up with. And how many bales can that wagon hold. I have always been a John Deere fan but what is a better baler John Deere or new Holland.
