Documentary about US Air-force planes Graveyard/ cemetery. An airplane graveyard, sometimes known by the American term of aircraft boneyard, denotes a storage area for aircraft that are discarded after their years of service directly or lack of budget or because of the presence of obsolete technology. Most aircraft are kept for storage or converted into scrap after provision for spare parts. Deserts, like those in the southwest of the United States, are good places for these cemeteries are, because of the size of the aircraft, very extensive. The dry climate also reduces corrosion and potentially extends the shelf life.

You know what America needs to do? Sell these planes to other countries who can't afford high tech planes like the f-22 or su-35. The f-16's or the f-15's can be sold to other countries. America can make some good profit off of this.

These aircraft kept us safe for many many years. Each one deserves a Medal of Honor. They are as deserving as the air crew that flew them. They deserve a museum all of their own.

Or instead provide a universal free heath care system, or free education, or a fund to buy back all the guns that non terrorists are murdering everyone with (16,000). The ROW see's it this way. Pity Americans don't
-
Can you purchase a plane?
-
Yay America! Here's where your tax dollars go - scrapping astronomically expensive military hardware that was never really needed in the first place - all to rack up huge profits for the military industrial complex. To hell with clean energy, education and universal healthcare, instead let's fill up the desert with useless redundant machinery. Whatb a fucking travesty.

It is a shame that planes that been hardly used (B-1's) are already being junked. Seems to be a waste of taxpayers money. The B-1's could be sold to allied nations that can put them to use for the next 20 or so years.
