Why would you want t get rid of the water tank? You not only need water for sink, shower, and toilet, you also need a waste tank!

Can you get potable water at truck stops via a hose to fill the fresh water tank? Where does one go for the gray and brown water dump as well? I love the idea of total independence from using truck stops for nature breaks, and having the ability to unwind in a small apartment setting versus a closet.

perceptive... Or, it was disappointment showing through. This truck embodied a great, well thought out specification. The buyer was a hard working and tried to play it smart... but, events conspired as his loads hauling ammo slowly dried up and the switch to hauling jet engines -(forced dispatch,high miles/low rates). A good man lost the truck. After about 50 years of trucks being close to mind - In any case, I may have been anticipating retirement.

@taitai907 -many believe Kenworth's T800 is the best truck model Kenworth or anyone else has ever built. Count me in. In 1986 when the model was first released I sold one configured as a tri-axle dump-. the chassis went on to wear out several engines and dump beds and later, finally sold to the next owner after twenty years + hard labor. The T8 has proven to me to be a well engineered chassis that can be effectivly configured in many ways - moving mountains - or mole hills if you choose.

Thanks! That one is a one off - a lot of thought went into it. Kenworth built it but, I guess I can take credit for the truck spec and the expanded opening to the sleeper... at that stage I had been polishing my spec 20+ years and had just figured out the sleeper opening. William, the buyer & enabler of the build, he said he laid awake at night, working out how he wanted his sleeper laid out. Woody at ICT got the sleeper on a paper print and his shop built the sleeper.
