Large Case on sled. He could easily have pulled it into the next county. Pretty awesome sight. Midwest Old Threshers Reunion 2012, Mt.Pleasant, Iowa.

Take a close look the the chain hook up. The harder the tractor pulls the more the sled is lifted off the ground.

what sled?

65hp ?

That Case could pull that sled with the full weight on from a standing start. No ramping up needed. All the guys who spent $50K on their specialized pulling engines went home crying because their junk could't out-pull the Case, nor could they afford hearing aids after blowing out their ear drums from their own obnoxious junk.

Steam still has an enormous potential unequaled by petrol, diesel, and electric. Producing the steam rapidly still poses a bit of a problem. Boilers are bulky. On the positive side, there is no highly destructive lithium mining and toxic batteries to contend with when they stop functioning at the end of their short life. There is no petroleum being burnt as well. Anything that burns can fuel a steam engine.

World record wheelie??

No fucks were given that day.

let's see your ford do that!
-
Far superior pulling power compared to farm tractors and even bulldozer.
-
only one other vehicle have I seen wheels up and the sled all the way to the end of box is an old dodge with a Detroit diesel
-
let's see your power stroke duramax or Cummins do that

go home train you're drunk

Steam vs unlimited modified in most weight pulled? Steam will win hands down! Now that is another video I would enjoy! Thank you for sharing, awesome video!
-
just to think that this 30+ ton vehicle had two wheels in the air really shows how much torque these things have
-
Imagine going to case dealership and asking for parts with a straight face.
-
The power of steam. Not one bit surprised. They were built to pull harder than that.

He's carrying the front end but at least he ain't smokin' the tires!

He was later disqualified for running a Heavy Water Nuclear Reactor.

About 15 or so years ago I heard and watched a steam locomotive go through Denver one day. That thing was LOUD! But impressively big. But LOUD!!!
