Bigtractorpower, have you ever seen a tiger 1? As in the 310 horsepower version and not the turbo tiger? I can't even find a picture of one online. Plenty of tiger 3 and 4, some turbo tigers and even the 800 tiger but never a non-turbo tiger series 1 tiger

Have one just the same! If anyone have the colorcode I would be more than greatful. Original stickers seems to be impossible to find.

We farmed in north central Ohio in the 50's to late 70's. Our 14 foot disc just didn't have the weight to tear up the soil very good. Lucky if we could disc bean stubble to plant wheat, never corn stalk to wheat. Just worked ground over and over to get ready to plant. New equipment is amazing to me, disc equals bad memories for me.... lol

I guess my '51 Farmall M was built to last also. I rebuilt the engine in 1975 when I was a junior in high school and it's still working with that overhaul today.

We had essentially the same thing except it was a 1980 ST 251 Cougar with a Cummins 855 with the pump turned up to 310 HP as a promotion and then later to 335 HP. It didn't come with the intercooler because of the original power rating. Great tractor.

the steiger I have has a Cummins in it I love it

Nice video! I like that straight pipe. Same farm in Indiana that has the big bud?

My grandad saw a couple guys putting diesel in one these tractors at at service station years back, he went over and asked em what they pulled with it. They said "whatever we hook up to it." Lol

Surprised the disc is used so much these days. Got to be a better piece of equipment for tearing up the ground. For years that's all there was to work ground. So difficult to get it deep enough.

One of the best ever built and you absolutely can not beat that Cat engine, it's indestructible! A whole bunch of those sold in my area in late 70's and all of them are still running strong.

Was this Chris Wathen or the other operation you showed?

Great video of a classic machine. Hey, how wide was that disk if you know?

So how old is this tractor, I see also the manufacturers have to offer the best if you want the best, CAT power. What was the tractor doing glimpsed at the 7.40 mark. ? Thank goodness for your channel, - never get to see awesome tractors like that capable of that sort of 'drawbar pull' in the UK, perhaps a few JD's (although I personally have never seen any). Ford tried some in the 70/80's but they didn't catch on - just not enough big fields to merit them, then you needed all the wide equipment for them, then it wasn't any use for the smaller ones as they couldn't move it, 6 trips up and down and your field was done, plus we don't have the massive fields you have. That's the worst of living in a small country that would fit into any of your states several times.

asome tractors keep it up ..
