im not much of a deere man, but im partial to the model R gas and the unstyled model D. those old standard treads look so much bigger than a rowcrop

yeah i know quite alot about the model L series. i can tell you the flywheel weighs about 60lb's the crankshaft about 20lb's etc.

ok the L series you saw there were an LI which is a model l which has been lowered and the front axle is also wider. and the other 2 are both LA's. it takes a good eye to tell them apart but i can do it. an LA (if original) will have Cast rear wheel hubs and will sit taller than your average model l. my model l is a higher clearence model so its as tall as an LA. to tell apart the engines, the early L's had herculese engines. the oil fill points straight up on those. slanted on deere engines.
