A quick video I shot and made of Big Roy the other night in Sanford Manitoba Canada. Big Roy was a concept tractor built by Versatile back in 1977. The tractor in the video was the only one ever built. It has recently been sitting the last many years at an agricultural museum in Manitoba Canada and was recently brought back to the Versatile factory and completely restored. The tractor had Firestone 30.5 x 32 tires on it. Firestone Tire had donated the 8 new tires that are on the tractor right now. Big Roy weighs in around 62,000 pounds. It is 8 wheel drive and powered by a Cummins KTA 1150 rated at around 600 horsepower. The tractor also had 3 seats in the cab and has a TV with a rear camera looking behind the tractor. Big Roy will be at some of the major Farm Shows in North America in the near future.

Very unique but bizarre design. It would have had a very wide turning radius, no visibility rear (yes it had a camera, but narrow field of view) and long wheel base too.

Have you ever been able to drive it?

I seen BIG ROY at the BIG IRON just a couple days ago : )

versatile should dust off the plans, update the tractor and build this, it would sell,so many applications for this, ahead of it's time!

She's a beast but I think for something of that size 600 horsepower isn't enough. I know 600 is a lot but for something like this 750 or more would be better

It is exciting to see the Big Roy on the move. Thank you sending us a picture of it earlier this week.

This is so great. Unfortunately, if it is at the FSR Ohio in Sept 2016 I will not be able to see it.
