Amazing steam-powered, full size replica of the First Caterpillar Tractor ever sold. The builder, Don Hunter, spent nine years in the construction of this amazing machine. The original was built by by Caterpillar's predecessor, Holt.

It's not the first caterpillar tractor
The first tractors they made had metal tires AND THEN FOUNDTHAT THE TRACTOR WAS TO HEAVY AND THE CREATOR SAID "oh tracks with seperate weight to the ground and won't sink" -
Extremely skilled man.

There never was a steam engine tractor and there was no tractors period until 1955

First one was actually built in the Uk by Ruston and Hornsby - only few bits left in Canada but a model in one third scale exists in the UK.
